On the 3rd of September, 2023 the Association of Walking Football Australia and N9 Walking Football Club of Seremban, Malaysia entered into a Memorandum of Understanding formally acknowledging the potential benefits of collaborating and engaging in various walking football related activities, including but not limited to friendly matches, player exchanges, joint tournaments, and the sharing of technical expertise and best practices.

As part of this agreement the parties agreed to collaborate, organise, promote and participate in a tournament known as the “Asia Pacific Walking Football Cup”. Both parties shall jointly invite likeminded clubs/associations from the Asia Pacific region to affiliate with, and to participate in this ongoing international tournament, celebrating the sport of walking football, to showcase the sport’s inclusivity and raise awareness about walking football.

Both parties acknowledge the hard work and enormous efforts by Rachel Gomez of the N9wfc club founder and Paul Lowthorpe of the AWFA, without these two individuals the Asia Pacific Walking Football Cup may never have come about.

On the same day the Forever Young D’Legend’s Walking Football Team of Singapore joined the Association of Walking Football Australia and the N9 Walking Football Club of Seremban, Malaysia and signed a Memorandum of Affiliation agreeing to work together to the mutual benefit of each organisation.
